CASCADE MOUNTAIN SKI / SNOWBOARD TRIP

A day of fun-filled enjoyment was found Skiing and Snowboarding at Cascade Mountain Resort in Portage, Wisconsin. The weather was perfect for skiing. All Scouts tried both skiing and snowboarding. It was a day where they enjoyed the magic of winter. A dinner celebrarion was enjoyed at a Hometown Buffet on the way back to DeKalb.
EAGLE BANQUET

This banquet was at the Wyndham Hotel in Lisle honoring a gathering of nearly 400 new Eagle Scouts from Three Fires Council. The Eagles of 2012 represent the centennial class of Eagle Scouts. These Eagles come from DeKalb, Kane, Kendall, and DuPage Counties. In 2012 Troop 33's Eagle Scouts included: Zachary Aase, Jacob Marx, and Jacob McArtor.
KLONDIKE DERBY

Troops from all over DeKalb County gathered at the Sycamore Sportsman’s Cub in Sycamore for the Kishwaukee District Klondike Derby. Scouts pulled a klondike sled around a course competing in various Scout skills such as: Fire Building, Compass, Log Sawing, First Aid, Sled Race, Tomahawk Throwing, Track Identification, Fishing for Snappers, and Indoor Rifle Range. It provided several challenges to the boys.
